TEABBA's Staff consisting of Kyle Doevendans (TEABBA’s Senior Technician), Allan Neilson (TEABBA’s Program Coordinator) and Don Baylis (TEABBA’s General Manager) attended the CBAA Conference hosted in Hobart, During the they heard some inspiring industry speakers and saw some amazing presentation's all about community radio. Learning tricks and tips along the way. it was lovely hearing how other stations navigate through challenges and upskilling for technology and policy changes which are reshaping the sector. Multiple selective topic breakout sessions were available to choose from as well as industry pop-up stalls and agencies that support and service all of the CBAA members and stakeholders.
To finalise the Conference the CBAA team, host their annual awards ceremony, TEABBA was delighted to receive three substantial acknowledgements. The first was an Awards for “Excellence in Indigenous Content and Engagement”. Kyle the TEABBA Tech was awarded the 2025, “Outstanding Technical Contribution”. With the final one which TEABBA’s General Manager Don Baylis received the “Community Broadcasting Honour Roll”.
